Once your child has completed the test, you may register for Kumon Reading, Kumon Math or both. It’s easy to get your child started at any point throughout the year. Steps to Enrollment Process

You will visit the KUMON Center twice before enrolling. Please note that this enrollment process does not cost anything – we are more interested in starting right than in simply starting work.

Step 1: Free Placement Test

Children see what it is like to work among peers and receive a mini-orientation to the KUMON Center. Children must be able to sit away from the parent(s) for 15~30 minutes per subject tested.

Step 2: Parent-Child Conference

Parents and child together attend a follow-up meeting with the KUMON instructor. We will share your child’s placement test results, the progression of the KUMON curriculum, and our expectations for long-term success. This will also be an opportunity for us to learn more specifically about your child as a learner, show you how to use the level-specific materials at home, and answer any questions you may have.

If you decide to enroll, you will be asked to complete and sign the Enrollment Contract/Policies document and finalize a payment plan. We will set up a schedule for your weekly KUMON visits.

Fees/Cost/Price

Placement tests are free

Tuition: $150 per month, per subject

Registration fee: $50 per child (payable at time of enrollment)

Materials fee: $30 per child (payable at time of enrollment)

KUMON Park Slope enrolls students for a minimum of twelve months. You will be asked to enroll in Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT). The automated debit occurs on the 1st of each month for that month. Your first debit will include tuition plus the one-time fees.
