As discussed in the “7 Habits of Highly Successful Kumon Students” blog post, the Kumon Program is not a quick fix but rather a long-term enrichment program designed to help students achieve lasting success. One of the keys to achieving that success is daily practice. Studying every day is a commitment and requires dedication, perseverance and a strong focus on the long-term benefits of the Kumon Program. Although this commitment can be difficult, the results of daily practice are worth it. Students committed to the Kumon Program are rewarded with acquired knowledge and a deep understanding of math and reading concepts that will last a lifetime.

Every day in the Kumon Program, each student incrementally builds on the knowledge and learning from the previous day. This process enables the student to gradually progress  from studying materials with which he or she is familiar to topics he or she has never encountered before. As a result of this daily, step-by-step learning method, each Kumon Student can apply  knowledge to solve increasingly complex problems, enabling him or her to advance and learn topics above his or her current grade level. Since the Kumon Program is customized based on a student’s own abilities, each student can move at his or her own pace.  The student takes an active role in his or her education, and as a student progresses in the Kumon Program, his or her confidence  increases upon reaching a new Kumon level or by successfully completing a new series of challenges.

Many of our Kumon Parents and Students agree. Not only does daily practice help students advance academically, but it also improves time management skills and concentration. Below are a few responses from Kumon Parents and Students when asked about their experience with the Kumon Program.

“My son, Andoni, has always had a knack for numbers, and we are so proud of him. His daily Kumon study has taught him responsibility and time management.” – Rosario, a Kumon Mom from Palm Coast, FL

“It is only a little bit every day, and before you know it, you’ve mastered multiplication or algebra. Learning to break tasks down into small assignments is an essential skill for school and life.” – Jacki, a Kumon Mom from Plano, Texas

“Daily practice helps me maintain strong math skills all year round. Kumon challenges me to do my best and helps me to stay motivated.” – Sophia, a Kumon Student from Santa Cruz

The rigors of the Kumon Program can also help your child learn a very valuable lesson. A little hard work every day can help you succeed.
