About the Instructor

Introduction

As an extensively trained and certified professional instructor, I serve as a mentor who guides children through their work while also providing direction, support and encouragement. I chose to become a Kumon instructor because I wanted to use my knowledge, passion, and experience to contribute to the growth and development of our children. The Kumon method provides a foundation to a successful academic career and helps each child develop the skills needed to perform to their full potential. We create an at-home study plan in addition to monitoring classroom assignments and emphasize the importance of accurately completing each assignment within a designated timeframe. This has helped many of our students become more self-confident, focused, motivated, and independent.

Biography and Background

Ritika

I have a Bachelor’s in Economics and a Master’s degree in Economics and Business Administration. In 2012, I opened the Kumon center at 4S Ranch with the goal to help students achieve academic success as well as see the confidence in themselves. Kumon, which has been around for more than 50 years, uses a proven-program that allows students to advance at their own pace with an emphasis on individualized learning that helps students become focused, motivated and self-reliant. These are important traits I have seen develop in my own two children as a direct result of participating in this program.

Our community is very education-driven and I am proud to be a part of it. I love kids and enjoy how we bond with each other while we work together to reach the same goal. We have a classroom style set up at the center with all of the students working on their own. Each student can be at a different level and can work on different concepts - even if several students are in the same grade. Our teachers walk around the room and offer help as needed. No child goes unnoticed, and we want the children to strive to become independent, self-learning students who have confidence in their own ability.

My goal as an instructor is to help students see the confidence in themselves. I believe in our students’ capability to accomplish great things and truly want to help them achieve success in learning.
