About the Instructor

Alice Wang, CPA, MBA

As an extensively trained and certified professional instructor, I serve as a mentor who guides your children through their work while also providing direction, support and encouragement. I create an at-home study plan in addition to monitoring classroom assignments, and I emphasize the importance of accurately completing each assignment within a designated time frame. This has helped many of my students increase self-confidence, thus becoming more self-reliant. Like all Kumon Instructors, I have a true passion for education and an earnest desire to help children succeed.

My husband, Dr. Wang, and I have been married since October 1980.  We have two children: Frederick and Daphne.  Dr. Wang, who has a Ph.D. in electrical engineering, is currently my KUMON center consultant.  He helps students in Level H and above and is available for parents to speak with during class hours.  Both of my children were KUMON students.  They were also students of the Plano public system and attended Mendenhall Elementary School, Bowman Middle School, Williams High School, and Plano East Senior High School. Both also graduated from the International Baccalaureate program.  Frederick is working his residency at University of California at San Francisco.  He graduated from Yale University School of Medicine in May 2010 and graduated from Massachusetts Institute of Technology(MIT) in June 2005.  Daphne also graduated from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in June 2008.  She worked for Massachusetts General Hospital for three years (2008-2011).  Currently she is a medical school student at New York Medical College (NYMC).

In addition to being a KUMON instructor, I have been a Texas licensed CPA since 1991.  I also enjoy traveling, meeting new people, and sharing the Gospel.
