About the Instructor

Introduction

I was born in Saigon, Vietnam. After spending several months in a refugee camp in Hong Kong, I came to Austin, Texas empty handed, having absolutely no English speaking skills or any parents to lean on.

I attended William B. Travis High School in Austin, Texas and graduated fourth in my class. While working to support myself, I received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering, Summa cum Laude, from the University of Texas at Austin in 1986 and a Master of Science Degree in Telecommunication Management in 1991 from Southern Methodist University. In a professional capacity spanning 16 years, I worked as a development engineer and as a contractor.

Biography and Background

Diep Le

My husband and I have been married since 1991.  We have three wonderful children who have completed the Kumon Math and Reading Programs.  I have witnessed the success of Kumon and the positive impact it has had on my children throughout their elementary, middle schools, high schools and colleges.  I am a strong believer in the necessity of a good foundation in math and reading, the two main pillars of the Kumon Program. I believe that no matter what level of learning ability a child currently has, he or she can succeed given the opportunity, the proper tools, and the right dose of encouragement. I believe that the Kumon Method will help optimize each child's potential and prepare them for their long journey to success. Lastly, I would like to thank you for the opportunity to be your child’s instructor. Together, I know we can make a difference in your child’s life.
