About the Instructor

Introduction

Hi, my name is Daynabelle Anderson and I am the Instructor at the Kumon Math and Reading Center of Calabasas - West. As an extensively trained and certified professional Kumon Math & Reading Instructor, I serve as a mentor who guides your children through their work while also providing direction, support and encouragement. I create an at-home study plan in addition to monitoring classroom assignments, and I emphasize the importance of accurately completing each assignment within a designated time frame. This has helped many of my students increase self-confidence, thus becoming more self-reliant. Like all Kumon Instructors, I have a true passion for education and an earnest desire to help children succeed.

Biography and Background

Certified Kumon Instructor
profile

I graduated from the University of Southern California with a Bachelor's degree in Nursing. During my time at USC, I was involved in various in-school and community education programs, with a focus on teaching health. In addition, I also served 10 years as the Director of Education for the Beautiful Day Foundation, which was once a non-profit organization for breast cancer. In this capacity, I developed the education program of the Foundation, designed to educate young women about breast cancer. For 10 years, I educated young women at colleges, high schools, teen centers, and community events about the disease. Prior to becoming a certified Kumon Instructor, I spent two years as a Kumon parent. One of my daughters started the Kumon Reading Program at the age of 3 and is now enjoying both the Reading and Math programs.
