Yash started Kumon as Kindergarten student in 2015. He started in Reading Level 4A. Yash trudged through all the challenging levels of Comprehension and Shakespeare at such a young age with great fortitude, dedication, and hard work. We are very grateful to his parents for their support and time. His brother, Prabhav, is also a Reading Program Completer.
Yash will be entering 7th grade for the 2021-2022 school year. Kumon has helped in various ways. Besides becoming an excellent reader, Kumon taught him perseverance. He became more confident, independent and responsible for his studies. He also got into the habit of daily homework and not procrastinating.
Yash loves reading books, playing various sports, and learning new instruments. He wants to become a good soccer player and a scientist.
Chanhassen Student Theertha Gopireddy - MCA Tests
A letter received by the parents of Kumon student Theertha Gopireddy -
Hi Mr. and Mrs. Gopireddy,
I am Dana Holts, an MCA Supervisor and we have noticed that Theertha has scored very high on both the math and reading MCA tests. She is at a 9-10 grade reading level and same with math. She has topped in state and is one of the toppers in America! We like to advise parents to let them know that their child is at a higher level than most children. Have a great weekend and tell Theartha that we are all proud of her!
ALLISON LEI: Reading program completion in May 2021
Allison started Kumon when she was in Preschool in 2014 and successfully completed the Kumon Reading Program in May 2021.
Allison is finishing 6th grade in the Prairie View Elementary MOSAIC program. Kumon helped her a lot when she transferred from Spanish immersion school to Prairie View in 3rd grade. She caught up with her classmates in English easily, and it help her build up good reading habits. As a kid growing up in a family that English is not the native language, she never had problem with English reading in school, and reading is one of her hobbies now.
Her other hobbies include dance, badminton, rhythmic gymnastics, and she likes sketching. She's going to the middle school next year, she wants to make more friends in the middle school, and join the debate team.
Sharon, I also want to thank you for all the help and encouragements you provided, she wouldn't finish this successfully without your support. I think it will benefit for her lifetime, by learning how to read, expanding the interests on varieties of subjects, and forming the good reading habits.
