About the Instructor

Introduction

Meet the Instructor

Greetings,

My name is Nikki Allahverdi, and I am the Instructor of Kumon in Cimarron Hills, Colorado. Though originally from Texas, where my journey with Kumon began, I have embraced the opportunity to contribute to this educational community here in Colorado.
My association with Kumon dates back to 2002, when my mother enrolled my sister and I at Kumon of Flower Mound in Texas under the guidance of Instructor, Anupa Varshney. Starting as a student, I progressed to working as an assistant for Ms. Varshney throughout high school and college summers. This experience included roles at her centers in Coppell and Flower Mound.
The dedication and enthusiasm of the students, ranging from ages 3 to 18, continuously inspire me. I find immense satisfaction in witnessing their growth and achievements, particularly when they excitedly demonstrate their newfound skills. As a certified and extensively trained Kumon Instructor, I am committed to mentoring students through their educational journey. I provide personalized at-home study plans, monitor classroom assignments, and emphasize the importance of timely and accurate completion of tasks. This approach has significantly enhanced my students' self-confidence and independence.
My passion for education and my commitment to fostering student success are at the core of my role. The first time I experienced the profound impact of this work, I knew that being a Kumon Instructor was my true calling. I am honored to be a part of this vibrant community and look forward to supporting and guiding students as they achieve their goals.

Sincerely,
Nikki Allahverdi

Biography and Background

Instructor's Background

I began my academic journey at Baylor University in Waco, Texas, where I pursued a pre-medical major before relocating to Colorado to advance my studies in nursing. During my time in nursing school, I was introduced to the opportunity of becoming a Kumon Instructor through a role as a Kumon Assistant. That evening, I thoroughly researched the path to becoming a Kumon Instructor and, within forty-five days, I was accepted into the training and certification process.

My training commenced at Kumon North America's headquarters, where I spent two months developing my skills. Subsequently, I continued my training at the Cimarron Hills location, where I had already been working as an assistant for two years. The familiarity with the center and its stakeholders, including the center director who had previously been my supervisor, facilitated a smooth transition into the role of center director. This pre-existing rapport with students and parents was instrumental in my new role.

I am dedicated to fostering strong relationships within my community through Kumon, driven by my belief in the transformative power of the Kumon method. I am committed to enhancing each student’s academic career and boosting their confidence, ensuring they are well-prepared to achieve their full potential.
