About the Instructor

Introduction

As a certified Kumon instructor, Mr. Kush’s first step is meet with both you and your child personally to better understand your child’s personal needs. He will then design the best action plan to help your child reach their true potential by working on their academics and also on their motivation and testing skills. Mr. Kush believes each individual student is unique and their potential is endless. He assesses each student and customizes educational plans based on their needs and follows up with them to ensure success. His goal as an instructor is to make learning enjoyable and rewarding for students. Knowing that motivation levels of students differ from time to time, Mr. Kush will need your full support in this endeavor. Together we will be able to guide your child to a path filled with success, where their curiosity has no bounds. Learning is a journey for each student depending on their unique needs, skills, and personalities. It is Mr. Kush’s duty and lifelong passion to encourage his students to work hard, be motivated, and appreciate the learning experience.

Mr Kush believes, his role is to guide your students and work hand in hand with both students and the parents to ensure success. He will encourage and reinforce the values of Kumon in and outside of the classroom and will ensure that your students are making progress. At Kumon, students are always the first priority, and it would be an honor to work with your child. Together, we will help them pave the way to a bright future.

Biography


My name is Kush Dawar, and I am the owner and instructor of Kumon of Commerce and Kumon of Dearborn Heights. I began my involvement with the Kumon community back in 2009. Throughout my time with Kumon I have helped thousands of students reach academic success using the Kumon program. My center has been recognized by the governor as well channel 4 for being one of the best tutoring centers in Metro Detroit. Working at Kumon is more than just a job. During the past fifteen years, I have found the experiences I had at Kumon to be the most rewarding experiences of my life. I have gained valuable knowledge and experience from working with a wide variety of students and parents.

When I see a smile on a child’s face after they overcome a hurdle, and the pride that the parents carry when they see their children succeed, I am reassured that I am following my passion. In my time outside of Kumon, I am also involved in local non profits.

I have earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology and biology from Wayne State University. And an MBA and Master in Education from University of Michigan Ann Arbor. My education and work experience has shaped me as a person and reaffirmed my passion for teaching and helping others learn.
