About the Instructor

As an extensively trained and certified professional instructor, I serve as a mentor who guides your children through their work while also providing direction, support and encouragement. I create an at-home study plan in addition to monitoring classroom assignments, and I emphasize the importance of accurately completing each assignment within a designated time frame. This has helped many of my students increase self-confidence, thus becoming more self-reliant. Like all Kumon Instructors, I have a true passion for education and an earnest desire to help children succeed.

Hello! My name is Haneesha Desai and I am the Instructor at the Kumon Center of Covina South. I have an Engineering background and I earned my Bachelors degree at the University of Toronto. I have been a Kumon parent for 15 plus years. I had enrolled all three of my children in the Kumon Math and Reading Programs, and they have benefited tremendously from the Kumon learning journey.

I decided to become a Kumon Instructor because I love working with children and I enjoy contributing to their academic success. With the Kumon method, I am able to provide individualized instruction tailored to your child's ability. Building confidence, critical thinking skills, and a mindset to learn new materials independently are key goals of the Kumon Program. Many students have benefited from Kumon and I look forward to being a part of your child's learning journey!
