About the Instructor

Introduction

Meet Sujatha, Owner & Instructor

As an extensively trained and certified professional instructor, I serve as a mentor who guides your children through their work while also providing direction, support and encouragement. I create an at-home study plan in addition to monitoring classroom assignments, and I emphasize the importance of accurately completing each assignment within a designated time frame. This has helped many of my students increase self-confidence, thus becoming more self-reliant. Like all Kumon Instructors, I have a true passion for education and an earnest desire to help children succeed.

Biography and Background

Sujatha, Owner & Instructor

I have a master’s degree in accounting from India and was awarded gold medals and a university rank in my bachelor’s program.

Being a Kumon parent myself, I have seen my child blossom under Kumon with impressive math and reading skills. In the last thirteen years, I have had the opportunity to meet with other Kumon parents who had similar stories to share. I believe that early childhood education is the key to building a solid foundation for a child’s educational success in later years. Young children learn habits and form patterns that are not easily changed in later years, so it is essential that children are exposed to good study habits that foster a love for learning and acquiring knowledge. A nurturing and stimulating atmosphere at home is equally important for the child to practice and apply what (s)he has learned.

Prior to opening my center, I was an Accountant and an Auditor, certified in Public Accounting in India (ACA) and the US (CPA), and in Information Systems Audit (CISA). I’m also certified in Cost and Management Accounting (AICWA) in which I secured the All India 30th Rank. I have several years of experience working for the Big 4 Public Accounting firms.

The world today is quickly evolving in advanced technologies, giving rise to an information-based economy with knowledge as the global currency. In order to succeed and thrive in this marketplace, one has to differentiate, stand out among the crowd to be noticed. This is where the quality of education and the dedication, diligence and perseverance with which one has practiced become a deciding factors.
