About the Instructor

Introduction

My name is Nancy Nguyen and I am the Instructor at Kumon East Side 17th.

As a former Kumon student myself, I have a unique understanding and perspective of your child's Kumon journey. My passion for Kumon came from my own success story, and my mission is to pass these life-learned lessons on to my students.

My staff and I aim to foster independence and confidence in our students with meaningful guidance and encouragement, every class. I create an at-home study plan in addition to monitoring classroom assignments, and I emphasize the importance of accurately completing each assignment within a designated time frame. This has helped many of my students increase self-confidence, thus becoming more self-reliant. Like all Kumon Instructors, I have a true passion for education and an earnest desire to help children succeed.

It is an honour to be a part of your child's growth and I sincerely hope to meet you all soon.

Biography and Background

I have a Bachelor's degree in General Mathematics from the University of Calgary and been involved with Kumon for more than 15 years. I also taught early English literacy in New York, NY for 4 years, teaching young students aged 20 months to 6 years old how to read and write in preparation for Kindergarten and primary school.
