About the Instructor

My name is Nester Tabita, and I am the Instructor and owner of the Kumon Math and Reading Centre of Calgary - Hawkwood Village. As an extensively trained and certified professional instructor, I serve as a mentor who guides your children through their work while also providing direction, support and encouragement. I create an at-home study plan in addition to monitoring classroom assignments, and I emphasize the importance of accurately completing each assignment within a designated time frame. This has helped many of my students increase self-confidence, thus becoming more self-reliant. Like all Kumon Instructors, I have a true passion for education and an earnest desire to help children succeed.

Prior to opening my Kumon Centre of Calgary – Hawkwood Village, I gained 10 years’ experience of Kumon learning method at my previous Kumon center in Shanghai. I have had the opportunity to support the growth of many students through Kumon, supporting their development into perseverant, strong self-learners.

Pursuing my passion for education and my love of working with children, I recently graduated from Bow Valley College in Early Childhood Education and Development as an ECE, adding to my previous bachelor's degree in economics. I have been fortunate to travel a long journey and have lived in three different countries with different cultures, and now I am excited to serve the diverse children in the community.
