About the Instructor

Introduction

I'm Mrs. Mita and as an extensively trained and certified professional instructor, I serve as a mentor who guides your children through their work while also providing direction, support and encouragement. I create an at-home study plan in addition to monitoring classroom assignments, and I emphasize the importance of accurately completing each assignment within a designated time frame. This has helped many of my students increase self-confidence, thus becoming more self-reliant.

Like all Kumon Instructors, I have a true passion for education and an earnest desire to help children succeed. I love being part of the Conway community!

Biography and Background

Mita

After graduating with a BA in Management Information Systems, I got married and worked in the hospitality industry with my husband for the over fifteen years. I began my Kumon journey many years ago as a Kumon Parent myself. I wanted was looking for a program that gave my children confidence to learn from their mistakes, take ownership of their work, and give them a better attitude of school. I never imagined a child's minds could work the way it does until I saw my boys doing their Kumon worksheets. Now as they have gotten older, I see additional benefits outside the classroom when they are playing sports, a musical instrument, or in everyday conversations.

Fast forward ten years of being a Kumon Parent and now I can proudly say I am a Kumon Instructor, bringing the Kumon Method to Conway and it's surrounding areas! At my Kumon Math and Reading Center we use the program to fulfill two different needs for parents - enrichment and remedial. I have an open door policy: no question is silly and no problem is too large. I am proud to be here for you in the development of your child and their successes at Kumon, in school, and in their everyday life. I'm very passionate to see my kids and students become confident self-learners, take on new challenges, think outside the box and stretch their brainpower. I'm excited to work with each family to help the students succeed.

When not at Kumon, I enjoy watching my children play basketball, trying new restaurants in the Little Rock suburbs, and traveling - especially cruises.

Training and Certification

I have undergone extensive training to become a certified Kumon Instructor. I truly believe in the Kumon Philosophy. I have also done many center visits to learn from veteran instructors in the area.

I have completed many levels of the Kumon Program in math and reading, through which I have gained valuable insight into the learning process of students. There is a method to the levels and worksheets, and I would really like my students to see how the worksheets become more enjoyable as you progress through them faster and faster.
