Success  Stories

Our students, ranging from preschool through 12th grade, develop the skills that help them build upon each concept they learn. With individualized learning plans, motivation and practice, our center prepares students to become avid learners, encouraging success throughout their entire academic experience and beyond.

Samantha’s Story

Samantha never dreamed she would visit France, let alone be honored for her exemplary math skills, especially when just six years ago, her parents enrolled her in Kumon because she needed a little extra help with reading and math. Now, Samantha is above grade level in both subjects and has even been recognized by the International Mathematical Society. Samantha accidentally received the eighth grade test at her school for an international math contest. Even though the test was two grades above her level, she received the top score, ranking in the top 4% among 30,000 eighth graders at French schools around the world.

Baylee's Story

Kumon has made a huge difference in my child's education. From a failing student, she has become an A/B student in just a few short months. It is wonderful to see the Instructor work with her to help her progress. The regular classwork and homework help my child understand the concepts and to be more swift and confident at answering the problems.

I recommend Kumon to anyone who wants to help improve and enhance their child's education!

Mrigank's Story

Mrigank's Parents Say:

Mrigank is a science-oriented student and has always wanted to excel in science and technology. He enjoys the success that comes from doing well in Math and Reading as well. In the 5th grade STAAR, Mrigank received perfect scores in Mathematics and advanced scores in Reading. Mrigank, as well as we wanted him to achieve the same excellence in Reading that he had been able to achieve in math.

In the summer of 2016, we walked into Kumon of Dallas - Bent Tree hoping to find a summer-oriented program that would help with improving Mrigank's vocabulary and writing skills. Ms.Pradipta, the Instructor, explained to us the true Kumon philosophy which is: "success is found through daily practice and long-term commitment". With hopes to find success, we enrolled him into the program.

In February of 2017, 8 months since Mrigank's enrollment, we came to know that he had been selected in his school's  team for the Lonestar Challenge. We were extremely proud of him! Finally the moment came - when the results were announced, we were all very pleased to hear that not only had his school team won the Richardson Lonestar Challenge, but Mrigank had also won the Best Essay Writing Award in sixth grade!

We thank Kumon and Ms.Pradipta for helping, pushing, and inspiring Mrigank everyday and always raising his reading goals to prepare him to accept and conquer all the challenges he faces.
