Srividhyah Swaminathan has around 17 years of experience overall with Kumon Math and Reading that includes her working in a center for 6 years before she started her center in 2013. She saw many students, including her daughter, grow as learners and gain confidence in their math and reading skills. She has a Master’s degree in Business Administration. She is also a certified Financial and Controlling Consultant of SAP. Prior to opening her center, she had worked as a substitute teacher in the Olentangy School District and helped numerous students to excel at their education.
As an extensively trained and certified Kumon Instructor, she is passionate about understanding the needs of every Kumon student and customizes their plan to master the Kumon Method in Math and Reading. She gained inspiration as a proud mother of her daughter, who completed the Math and Reading Programs at Kumon as a rank holder. She has since helped train many students, always willing to challenge them and bring out the individual potential from each of them.
As an Instructor, she is dedicated to various roles in her center, which include: assessing each student's current level of knowledge in Math and Reading, setting an appropriate goal(s) for the student, customizing plans and supporting the efforts required for the student to follow the plans, communicating and coordinating with parents to align their own goals without missing the milestones set by Kumon, encouraging the student in various ways to master their skills at the subjects planned, and leading them to complete the program(s) with great success.
The students who have completed both Math and Reading Programs in her center are now successfully in high school or college and understand the benefits of being an independent learner. She enjoys teaching and helping kids flourish.
Her Kumon Center was started in 2013 and her dedication to help her students succeed led the center to become one of the best businesses in the After School Education category by Parents Magazine for two many years. Furthermore, she was a Program Coordinator in Vindhya Cultural Organization, which supports the growth of Indian Arts & Culture in Columbus, Ohio. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, gardening, drinking coffee, taking walks, swimming, biking, volunteering, helping Kumon students, and other Kumon Instructors!
She served Dublin area over 10 years as of 2023, helped 1000's of students in Dublin. She gave back to Instructors' community being part of National Instructor Advisory Council for 3 years and Instructors Conference Planning Committee member as well for 2 years.
