About the Instructor

Introduction

As an extensively trained and certified professional instructor, I serve as a mentor who guides your children through their work while also providing direction, support and encouragement. I create an at-home study plan in addition to monitoring classroom assignments, and I emphasize the importance of accurately completing each assignment within a designated time frame. This has helped many of my students increase self-confidence, thus becoming more self-reliant. Like all Kumon Instructors, I have a true passion for education and an earnest desire to help children succeed.

Biography and Background

Instructor

Gabriella Nina (Ms. Gaby), embarked on her Kumon journey nearly a decade ago, initially as a student. Her enrollment in the Math program stemmed from her struggles with algebra. Kumon's unique approach allowed her to step back, identify the root causes of her confusion, and rebuild her mathematical foundation. As she filled in those missing gaps, her fascination with mathematics grew exponentially.

Her dedication led her to successfully complete Math Level K, and she transitioned into a role as a center assistant. As a center assistant, she explored the reading program, recognizing its immense benefits. Overtime, she advanced to become a Chief Assistant, where she uncovered her genuine passion for the Kumon program.

Ms. Gaby’s love for Mathematics, nurtured by her Kumon experience, led her to earn a Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics from Marist College. Today, she takes great pride in her position as a Center Instructor for Kumon North America. In this role, she has the privilege of sharing Kumon's message with other families. Moreover, she shares her personal journey, serving as an inspiration to students of all ages, encouraging them to embark on their own enriching Kumon journey.
