Join us for a Kumon orientation, where you'll discover what to expect during a parent orientation. You'll receive an overview of our program, see how we conduct a placement test, and learn about creating an individualized lesson plan tailored to your child's needs
Overview
The instructor will provide an overview of the Kumon program, which is a worksheet-based program that helps children improve their math, reading, and writing skills.
Placement test
The instructor will give your child a free placement test to gauge their math and reading skills. The test may take about 15 minutes per subject and is not stressful for students. The instructor will also observe your child's focus, speed, and handwriting.
Lesson plan
Based on the results of the test, the instructor will create an individualized lesson plan for your child to meet their needs and goals. They will also show you and your child a progress chart that shows what they can achieve in their first six months.
