From A Happy Grandparent
My grandson Dillon was struggling in algebra so I decided to start checking into some learning centers. We had contacted or visited different centers and the fit was just not quite right. Then we found Cathy Zheng at the Kumon Center. As soon as I spoke with her on the phone, I knew her Kumon Center was the one for my grandson. I went to visit and signed up the same day. Cathy and her staff have great energy and passion for teaching and they are very easy to work with. Kumon has an excellent quality, awesome math program taught by very well educated staff. They possess exceptional skills in listening, solving problems, support, building confidence and self-esteem, promoting independent learning, patience and concern for each and every student. Kumon has a very warm and comfortable learning atmosphere which helps the students to focus and listen. Kumon helps students to improve their skills which also helps them to multi task. Additionally, one of the most important things they do is stay in touch with parents/caregivers. They email often with different important information and always stress that if you ever have questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact them. They also have regular conferences to discuss the students progress. The education students receive here are great also and fills in the gaps that sometimes occurs in public school. At Kumon they are building a strong foundation for the students. After one and one half years with steady progress all the way through, our grandson now is getting A's in math and algebra. Now he enjoys math because he understands it. His attitude towards math improves greatly because it becomes easier to do the math! Joining Kumon is one of the best things we have ever done for him. If we had it to do over again we would have started him a few years earlier to get him a head start and better prepared before he began to struggle, and it most definitely would have been at Kumon! Dillon has much more confidence than he has ever had before, and the best part of it all is that he is now at the top of his math class in public school! We highly recommend Cathy Zheng's Kumon to anyone who is wanting to help their student in any respect, including getting a head start. Another important item I wanted to mention is that their tuition is very reasonable. The other learning centers we contacted were very expensive, and their program did not even begin to compare to Kumon. We could see after the first month how much Dillon enjoyed it at Kumon, and that he was really making great progress. You owe it to yourself to check out Cathy Zheng's Kumon Center; your student will be so happy you did.

She does not wear a fancy costume with a cape. Instead she carries a pencil, wears a smile and speaks encouraging words that make me forget the phrase "I can't" and transition to the knowledge that "I can". Ms. Cathy is a teacher. She mentors students in math and language arts. Ms. Cathy helped me when I was struggling with how to move from elementary to middle school math not knowing if I could succeed in the process. Furthermore, Ms. Cathy made me the strong and confident math student I am today. It is hard to imagine that just one short year ago I struggled with the basics of math so much that I doubted I could ever learn them. There were many days I wondered if I was as smart as all of the other students. Today I pride myself on my ability to teach others how to learn and thrive in a math environment. I am proud of how far I have come and the patience I have learned in helping others to do the same. Ms. Cathy is my hero because she made me feel smart, good about myself and excited about learning.

I know a lot of people join Kumon because they are behind in school. But the reason I joined Kumon is it seemed like an easy way to get ahead in my class and that's exactly what it is. We visited a Kumon Center, and it seemed like a lot of fun. I asked if I could take an assessment test, and Ms. Cathy (the Instructor) said yes. So that's how I started. Kumon has really helped me with my language, grammar, pronunciation, and math facts. Kumon makes my schoolwork sooooo much easier because I have a head-start on the material. Kumon is the best mini-school. I love it!
