Lisa Thompson, Kumon Math and Reading Instructor
Kumon Instructors are trained and certified through a comprehensive system which ensures that they offer the best in instruction to each student. Lisa Thompson started her career as a Kumon Regional Manager overseeing centers on Oahu and Kauai in 1995. She began her career as Instructor at the Hawaii Kai Kumon Center in 1999. Lisa holds an Elementary Education Degree and a degree to teach Art in the K-12 classroom as well as a BA in Fine Art. She is dedicated to providing top quality and personal service to her students.
Homework and classwork are carefully assessed by the Instructor for speed and accuracy to maintain the right level of challenge and to ensure that mastery is attained as each new skill is introduced. Instructors work very closely with each individual student and his or her family to create the best study plan possible for the student, whether the need is for remedial help or for advanced study.
