In addition to being a certified Kumon Instructor, Jenan Subeih has earned her Master's Degree in Chemistry. Her passion for education and desire to help children succeed, motivated her to study further and establish a Kumon center in Hazlet. As a mother of three children, Jenan started her Kumon journey when she enrolled her two girls in Kumon to build strong foundations and boost their confidence. She knows from her own experience that every child is different, and being a Kumon Instructor allows her to maximize the potential of each of her students through individualized lesson planning and goal setting.
Miss Jenan guides each student through their work while providing direction, support, and encouragement. She creates study plans in addition to monitoring classroom assignments for students in pre-school through high school. Students are actively involved in setting goals, which keeps them excited about reaching advanced levels of Math and Reading.
During center hours, students' work is always closely monitored. Worksheet study is supplemented with reading and writing activities, as well as number writing and counting activities for math students. Instruction is coupled with efficient techniques for mathematics, and effective methods of reading and comprehension. Emphasis is placed on the importance of accurately completing each assignment within a designated time frame, which greatly enhances students' work study and test taking skills. This strong foundation of the Kumon Method cements students' mastery in the fundamentals and sets a sound foundation for advanced concepts in Math and Reading comprehension.
