I obtained my MBA degree from Krannert School of Management at Purdue University and have more than ten years of experience of working in multiple companies in insurance, consulting, and IT industries in various capacities.
I first became interested in Kumon when my daughter was in Kindergarten. She enjoyed math but I thought she could use some reinforcement in the fundamentals and opportunity to shine in something that she liked. Throughout her Kumon journey, not only her academic skills improved but also her problem solving skills and perseverance steadily increased. Around that time, I was looking to branch out from my corporate career and becoming a Kumon Instructor was the logical choice.
Growing up in a family that emphasizes on education and surrounded by family members who work in the education sector (both my mom and my husband are tenured university professors), I am familiar with the challenges faced by the students and the gaps between what the schools offer and the students’ needs. I’ve always had a passion for education and am honored to have the opportunity to work with the wonderful parents and children of this community towards our common goal to make our children achieving academic success, enjoying the fun of reading, appreciating the beauty of math, to help them develop self-learning skills, and to pave the path for them to become a confident, independent, and motivated life-long learner. I look forward to sharing the Kumon Method with your family.
