Paarth Rathod is an extensively trained and certified Kumon instructor. As a Kumon instructor, I serve as a mentor who guides your children through their work while also providing direction, support and encouragement. I create an at-home study plan in addition to monitoring classroom assignments, and I emphasize the importance of accurately completing each assignment within a designated time frame. This has helped many of my students increase self-confidence, thus becoming more self-reliant. Like all Kumon Instructors, I have a true passion for education and an earnest desire to help children succeed.
I chose to become a Kumon instructor because I believe that a firm foundation is the key to a successful academic career. The Kumon Method provides that foundation. Kumon's mission meshes with my belief that children can reach unexpected heights if given the opportunity. However, students need proper training and instruction for that to happen and that is where I jump in. It is my goal to get all of the students in my Center working above grade level. I love the idea that Kumon is not a "quick fix" method in which children are taught enough to get through their next test. The goal is not to just get by, it is to learn for the long-term. There is a big difference.
For many children, the road to success begins with simply having the confidence to say "I can do it." That simple statement can be the difference between success and failure. The first thing I do for all of the students at the Center is to instill that confidence. Having been a Kumon student for 9 years, I can truly vouch for the program and can confirm the changes that the right training and instruction can make in a student's overall attitude towards learning and other challenging aspects of life. More than just academics, Kumon teaches vital life skills such as time management, problem solving, and most importantly: never giving up.
