About the Instructor

Who am I ?

I’m Rinku Kapur, the business owner & Certified Instructor of the Kumon Math & Reading Centre of Monroe. 

Drop-in sometime, I’d love to meet you. Let me show you the ropes here! Call me crazy, but I honestly love working with kids & contributing to their learning journey. It’s not just about Math & English for me, but about helping them grow into ferocious,self-confident & self-reliant little beings. 

I am filled with gratitude for having this baton in my hand to be able to make a difference in the lives of a multitude of families by providing their kids with education, starting right from the elementary level. Having worked in corporate companies & startups made me realize, that building & creating something right from it’s inception is what gives me butterflies. And that is how I feel when I help shape the journey of a child. 

I started my business over a decade ago, after just having my younger one. It’s because of them that I started my Kumon journey. When my elder one turned 4, I enrolled him in the Kumon Program. And within the 1st few months itself, I started seeing a lot of change in him, I was amazed by the efficacy of the Kumon curriculum & it piqued my curiosity. And when learning is concerned, I’m as curious as a cat. You should know that about me. AND that is how my voyage began.

Some other fun facts about me: 

I am an HR professional, thus a complete people’s person to the core. 

Spontaneity is high on me. I don’t mull over things & don’t even let my boys do that.

 

Being an ICF Life Coach has given me an added dimension of empathy.

 

I am a Reader. So, if not at the Kumon Center, you can come see me at the local Library!! 

I love to watch movies. Whenever I get the time, I try to squeeze a movie in. 

Impossible doesn’t work for me. I know people think it’s a cliché. But seriously, try me. 

And lastly, giving back to the community is where my heart is. I absolutely ,wholeheartedly, completely love to contribute to society. As much as I am able to, I keep doing initiatives with the local schools & hospitals. We recently went to the Ronald McDonald House & cooked there. We love contributing to the Tricky Tray to the school district. We did Ice-Cream Social with Barclay Brook School and We also do fundraisers for certain charities we support. In fact, last year we raised$5000 for one of the charities.

I am a certified Kumon Instructor and have done the curriculum multiple times! I hold a degree in Business Administration and Computer Science. I have been working with children for over a decade. 

I also enjoy reading, so you may see me at the local libraries! Apart from being a business owner I am a ReikiMaster and also a Life Coach.
