About the Instructor

Introduction

Welcome to our Kumon Center!

Hello! My name is Wendy Wu. All my students like to call me Ms. Wendy. As an extensively trained and certified professional instructor, I serve as a mentor who guides your children through their work while also providing direction, support and encouragement. I have a B.S. degree in Business and a M.S. degree in Computer Engineering from Northeastern University. Through many years of educational training and working experience I have developed strong teaching skills in both Reading and Math. In particular I "invented" many strategies to learn and solve math problems. These math strategies are often called by student "magic tricks" from Ms. Wendy! They love those strategies that make Math is much more fun!

I love my students and enjoy working with each one of them. They are all different and they have all kinds of talents. Based on their different learning abilities and pace I create individualized lesson plans so that each student can progress well on his/her own track and achieve their own great potential. I also set up an at-home study plans in addition to in-class assignment. I emphasize the importance of homework, classwork and their accuracy and speed. This has been helping many of students to boost self-confidence and become a self-reliant good learner. I have a true passion for education and an earnest desire to support children succeed.
