About the Instructor

Introduction

As an extensively trained and certified professional instructor, I serve as a mentor who guides your children through their work while also providing direction, support and encouragement. I create an at-home study plan in addition to monitoring classroom assignments, and I emphasize the importance of accurately completing each assignment within a designated time frame. This has helped many of my students increase self-confidence, thus becoming more self-reliant. Like all Kumon Instructors, I have a true passion for education and an earnest desire to help children succeed.

Biography and Background

Instructor

Long before becoming a Kumon Instructor in 2010, I was a Kumon student myself. My journey with Kumon began when my mother enrolled me at a local Kumon center in Escondido, CA.

Once entering high school, I began working at the same center I attended as a student, gradually taking on more responsibilities until becoming the Lead Assistant, a role I continued while attending college at the University of California, San Diego.

Upon graduating with honors, my former Instructor and mentor offered me an opportunity to take over her Kumon center in Kearny Mesa. Now, more than ten years later, I have helped hundreds of students in the community improve their math and reading skills with Kumon. It is truly the greatest honor to be able to work with so many amazing students and be a part of their learning journeys!
