Ms. Keyuri Patel was first introduced to Kumon in Mobile, Alabama. Her 4-year-old daughter was enrolled in private school and already making great strides in her early academic career. She seemed very bright and curious, which motivated Patel to enroll her in the local Kumon Center.
With a shift in her career and a desire to be closer to other family members, Patel and her family made a 500-mile journey north to Tennessee. As the family settled into their new home, her daughter expressed desire to continue her progress in Kumon –immediately sparking an idea with Patel. Wanting to share the same benefits of Kumon that her daughter received with other children, she brought Kumon right to her new community. Patel is now the proud owner of Kumon Math and Reading Center of Knoxville – Green Valley.
“When I enrolled my daughter in Kumon, she was only 4-years-old at the time and I distinctly remember being amazed at the transformation I witnessed. She was reading at a higher level and developed strong mental calculation skills in a short period of time,” said Patel, owner and Instructor of Kumon Math and Reading Center of Knoxville – Green Valley. “By building a child’s confidence and developing them into self-learners, the Kumon Method is ultimately preparing them for a successful future.”
The Kumon Method empowers preschool to high school aged children to become self-learners and is designed to advance math and reading skills while fostering a love for learning. It goes beyond traditional tutoring by actively developing critical thinking skills as children progress independently through a carefully crafted curriculum.
“My goal is to help each student at my center reach their full potential,” said Patel. “By bringing Kumon to the Knoxville community, children will have the opportunity to prepare for a successful future just as my own children did.”
Kumon sparks critical thinking, establishes a pattern of success and builds confidence that can lead to accelerated learning throughout life. Learn more about the Kumon Method today.
