About the Instructor

Introduction

Ice serves as a mentor who guides your children through their work while also providing direction, support and encouragement. She creates an at-home study plan in addition to monitoring classroom assignments, and she emphasizes the importance of accurately completing each assignment within a designated time frame. This has helped many of her students increase self-confidence, thus becoming more self-reliant. Like all Kumon Instructors, she has a true passion for education and an earnest belief in each child's potential and eagerness to help children achieve PEAK performance and desire to help children succeed. Ms. Bisconde has gone through extensive training from Kumon and is a fully-licensed and certified Kumon Instructor.

Biography and Background

As an extensively trained and certified professional instructor, Glaiza "Ice" Bisconde's Bachelor's degree in Nursing and prior Center Manager experience accelerated her children's personalized educational attainment through Kumon (PEAK). As a Kumon parent before becoming a Kumon Instructor, Ice's daughter started attending Kumon at age 2 in 2021 to a successful PEAK that sincerely inspired her to help other families.
The Kumon Method empowers preschool to high school aged children to become self-learners and is designed to advance math and reading skills while fostering a love for learning. It goes beyond traditional tutoring by actively developing critical thinking skills as children progress independently through a carefully crafted curriculum.
“Working at Kumon never felt like a job to me, it's a calling and passion, so when I decided to return to work after starting a family, it only made sense to open the Kumon Math and Reading Center of Kyle as my own,” said Ice. “I look forward to sharing my passion for not only education, but also the Kumon Method with the families in my community. I know that together we can help students develop an eagerness to learn.”
Ice is fully committed to helping children in Kyle and surrounding communities excel in Math and Reading, and succeed in their overall academics.
