My name is Daniel Khalil Mandry and I am the Instructor of the Kumon Math and Reading Center of Lakeland-Highlands. Before becoming the Instructor of the Lakeland-Highlands Center, I was the Assistant Instructor and a co-owner of this center. As a former Kumon student, I have developed great admiration for Kumon and the Kumon Method. After completing a bachelor’s degree in biomedical sciences and biomedical physics at the University of South Florida, I returned to work at the Kumon Center of Brandon-Bloomindale operated by my mother, Katherine Mandry. I had a passion for educating young people, and I took the opportunity to examine the program that had motivated me and given me the skills to focus and tackle advanced-level coursework. I became the Assistant Instructor at Brandon-Bloomingdale and then the Assistant Instructor at Kumon of Riverview-Boyette operated by my father, David Mandry. My years working at Kumon Centers made it clear how Kumon can transform a child’s life and the amount of care, preparation and planning it takes to make Kumon work so well for each student. I decided that I wanted to take another step in cultivating my ability to educate children. After becoming the Assistant Instructor of Lakeland-Highlands, I began working towards becoming the Instructor. As the Instructor I am still learning every day from my exceptional students, assistants and parents, and from other Kumon Instructors. I am honored to be the one to lead Kumon of Lakeland-Highlands and cultivate an exceptional learning environment for each Kumon student.
