About the Instructor

As an extensively trained and certified professional instructor, Mr. Dean serves as a mentor who guides your children through their work while also providing direction, support and encouragement. He creates a customized at-home study plan in addition to monitoring classroom assignments and emphasizes the importance of accurately completing each assignment within a designated time frame. This process helps his Kumon students to increase self-confidence, thus becoming more self-reliant. Like all Kumon Instructors, Mr. Dean has a true passion for providing intentional instruction to each of his students and is committed to his vision of helping children succeed in life.

Mr. Dean holds a B.S. in Marketing from Boston College - Carroll School of Management.  He spent the majority of his professional career in the finance industry.  Since then, Mr. Dean has learned tremendously by working for many years with his spouse at her Kumon center.  He has seen firsthand the benefits of long-term Kumon study.  His 2 adult children were also previous Kumon students and his 2 young children are currently going through the program.  Over the years, he has always been impressed at the high degree of self confidence and academic accomplishment that results as a natural by-product to a child's successful journey through the Kumon program.  Mr. Dean aims to enroll families that share the same high-level of expectations and commitment to their children's educational success.  Believing that hard work always pays off, he is determined to help families who want the absolute best guidance for their children and understand there are no easy, quick fixes.  Kumon is successful because it provides a long-term, systematic approach to developing the whole child.  Mr. Dean is excited to bring Kumon to the Mountain's Edge community and encourages families with interest in a permanent, long-term academic solution for their children to call and schedule a parent orientation.  Get started with Mr. Dean and Kumon today.  LET YOUR CHILD AMAZE YOU!
