About the Instructor

Carrie Bowers MBA

As an extensively trained and certified professional instructor, I serve as a mentor who guides your children through their work while also providing direction, support and encouragement. I create an at-home study plan in addition to monitoring classroom assignments, and I emphasize the importance of accurately completing each assignment within a designated time frame. This has helped many of my students increase self-confidence, thus becoming more self-reliant. Like all Kumon Instructors, I have a true passion for education and an earnest desire to help children succeed.

I am a trained Kumon Instructor with a broad background that includes teaching, software development, and investment advising.  I've had the opportunity to learn diverse cultures and different aspects of education having lived in South Korea and India, and having worked with children for over 20 years. I have a passion for education and for the power it has to change lives and shape communities. I decided to join Kumon and help children develop confidence, math and reading know how, with focus and stamina in mind.  I am excited to guide the children at my center to become independent learners that will allow them to pursue any path they choose.
