About the Instructor

Introduction

I am an extensively trained and certified instructor.

I have passion to guide young students who are willing to be coached and motivated by offering support, guidance and encouragement. I develop individual lesson plans on weekly basis based on my observation of classroom assignments and close monitoring of homework assignments. This ensures that students are able to progress in the right track, while gaining confidence and become motivated self learners.

I am a Kumon parent, when my son joined Kumon he was 12 years old, first he did only math, and after two years he added reading. He was able to complete both math and reading when he was 17 years old.

He graduated from Western University with a double major (Electrical Engineering and Computer Science) and went to University of Toronto to do his thesis based Masters in Computer Science. Today he works for one of the sister concerns of AMD.

He always tells me that Kumon motivated him to be an independent learner, and he was able to solve all his math problems in the university by himself without a tutor. He is very proud about who he is today.

Biography and Background

Instructor photo

Growing up in Southern India, I always had a passion to teach.

I graduated with a Commerce degree, and taught 4 years in an elementary school after my graduation.

My marriage encouraged me to take a big leap to Cameroon, West Africa, where I taught two kindergarten classes for 7 years. My teaching experience was totally different from what it was in India. In fact, my kindergarteners were my teachers, teaching me about their culture, religion and language. I truly enjoyed my teaching experiences in both countries.
