Ariya's Success Story

Ariya

Ariya started with Kumon at just 4 years old and has been doing both Math and Reading. With each level she masters, she develops stronger character and academic skills that have enabled her to comfortably study content above her grade level. She admits that it isn’t always easy and there are times where she would rather not do it, but she also admits that being in Kumon and studying above grade level has made her schoolwork a lot easier and she is a lot faster than her peers. She also says that she enjoys that they tend to rely on her for help and look up to her!

Being in Kumon has not only increased her confidence, but it has fostered her love of reading and she looks forward to working in the medical field when she grows up. Her mom wants to be a doctor, but she said she might want to be nurse or a pharmacist. One thing is for sure, Mr. Lance and the Center staff know that Ariya has a bright future.

Sera's Success

Sera2

Sera is 5 years old and started her Kumon journey when she was 4.  She is currently adding and reading sentences.  She started during the coronavirus restrictions and has been able to progress to grade level and beyond through diligent study at home with the support of her parents while attending Kumon class regularly through Zoom.

Sera loves reading stories and learning new things saying, “Kumon has such fun things to read.”  Since starting Kumon Sera says that she “can read and add fast.”  Sera’s mom adds, “It is amazing how much Sera has progressed in less than a year.  Now she is able to spell, read and write words and numbers and do addition.  She applies what she learns in Kumon to her daily life by counting, adding, reading books and everything around us.  Seeing the joy in her face and feeling her confidence radiate as she does is priceless!”
