About the Instructor

Introduction

As an extensively trained and certified professional instructor, I serve as a mentor who guides your children through their work while also providing direction, support and encouragement. I create an at-home study plan in addition to monitoring classroom assignments, and I emphasize the importance of accurately completing each assignment within a designated time frame. This has helped many of my students increase self-confidence, thus becoming more self-reliant. Like all Kumon Instructors, I have a true passion for education and an earnest desire to help children succeed.

Biography and Background

Elsa Osis - Kumon Instructor
Instructor

As a part of the Mission Community for over 20 years, I am happy to bring Kumon here as an after-school supplemental education program to children as young as 3 years old and right up into high school! I come from a teaching background with a B.Ed from SFU, which I used to teach in elementary school. I had the opportunity to bring Kumon to Mission and I opened the Kumon Math & Reading Centre of Mission in May 2018!

Kumon has proven to be successful in teaching math, reading and study skills for a lifetime of learning. As a teacher by trade, I enjoy seeing the improvements in my students as they advance in Kumon.

As a mother of 3, I have seen the benefits in my own children and now I feel privileged to be able to bring Kumon to Mission!
