About the Instructor

Introduction

My name Anu George, and I am an extensively trained and certified Kumon instructor. As a Kumon instructor. I serve as a mentor who guides your children through their work while also providing direction, support and encouragement. I create an at-home study plan in addition to monitoring classroom assignments, and I emphasize the importance of accurately completing each assignment within a designated time frame. This has helped many of my students increase self-confidence, thus becoming more self-reliant. Like all Kumon instructors, I have a true passion for education and an earnest desire to help children succeed.

I chose to become a Kumon instructor because I believe that a firm foundation is the key to a successful academic career. The Kumon Method provides that foundation. With the goal of having students study high school level material before reaching high school, the Kumon mission meshes with my belief that children can reach unexpected heights if given the opportunity. It is my goal to get all of the students in my Center working above their grade level. I love the idea that Kumon is not a "quickfix" method in which children are taught enough to get through their next test. The goal is not to just get by, it is to learn for the long-term. There is a big difference.

I hold a Master’s degree in computer application and Bachelor’s in Mathematics and Statistics. I greatly value the importance of education and a good academic foundation for each child to achieve the highest academic success. I was also a Kumon parent, just like you, and understand the level of success that can be achieved and the challenges a parent may encounter. This experience will enable me to work alongside you to customize a success plan for your child. I am immensely excited about participating in making your child an independent learner and achieving the greatest level of confidence in life.
