Our students, ranging from preschool through 12th grade, develop the skills that help them build upon each concept they learn. With individualized learning plans, motivation and practice, our center prepares students to become avid learners, encouraging success throughout their entire academic experience and beyond.

The Story of Anush

When Anush enrolled in Kumon, he started with mastering the basic mental calculation skills in addition. He quickly moved through the levels mastering the concepts while progressing at his own pace. This young student is now working on studying Logarithmic Functions and being introduced to Calculus while in the 4th Grade. His goal is to complete the Kumon program (which would be equivalent to college level Calculus) before starting Middle school.

At the 2021 Student Award Ceremony that was recently held on November 29th, he received the Kumon Platinum Medal which recognized him as studying 3 years above his current grade level. He studied and worked hard to earn this medal within 18 months of starting the program! Anush is an accomplished and amazing student and we are so proud to have him at our Center!

The Story of Vince

Vince enrolled at the Mountain House Kumon Center when he was 5 years old. After one and a half years of hard work and dedication, he is now studying fractions and working on constructing sentences independently as a second grader!

To celebrate his hard work and dedication, Vince received a Kumon Platinum medal for math and a Kumon Silver medal for reading at our 2021 Student Award Ceremony on November 29^th. He is currently studying material that is 4 years above his school grade in math and 1 year above in reading. Congratulations, Vince! We are excited to have Vince at our center and we look forward to working with him as he moves through the rest of the program!

Story of Shaurya

Shaurya enrolled in Kumon at the age of 4, starting with number writing and number sequencing. Due to Shaurya’s diligence and hard work, he completed 8 Math levels covering addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and fractions in just 3.5 years! To recognize his achievements, he was rewarded with a Kumon Platinum medal for math and a Kumon Gold medal for reading at our November 2021 awards ceremony.

Today, Shaurya continues to work hard on his math and reading packets, making sure he completes his Kumon homework every day. He is now working on Math F, which covers solving fractions with all four operations, order of operations and decimals. In reading, Shaurya is working on clauses in level D-II.

We are so impressed and proud of Shaurya and are looking forward to what his future holds!
