About the Instructor

My name is Berlinda Chotolal and I am the instructor at Kumon Mississauga – Port Credit!

I decided to become a Kumon instructor after witnessing the true benefits of the program. Being a Kumon mom of two children, I have seen positive changes in their report cards, confidence, self-learning skills, and their overall eager attitude towards school. It has given me peace of mind as a parent knowing that I have equipped them for success.

Like all Kumon Instructors, I have a true passion for education and an earnest desire to help children succeed. As an extensively trained and certified professional instructor, I serve as a mentor who guides your child through their worksheets while also providing direction, support and encouragement.

I have extensive knowledge of the Kumon Method and I employ that knowledge when individually planning each child's in-class and at-home assignments.
My goal is to encourage children to problem-solve independently, build self-esteem and confidence and nurture the ability to take on new challenges for themselves thus making it possible to pursue their dreams and goals.

I am a Medical Radiation Technologist by profession for over 10 years at various Toronto Hospitals before becoming a Certified Kumon Instructor.

I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Health Sciences and a Master’s Degree in health and Aged Care Services. I am deeply dedicated to improving the overall well-being of our community and society at large. I believe that education is one of the most valuable things you can give to mankind. Educating kids means educating the community and strengthening your society.
