About the Instructor

Introduction

As an extensively trained and certified professional instructor, I serve as a mentor who guides your children through their work while also providing direction, support and encouragement. I create an at-home study plan in addition to monitoring classroom assignments, and I emphasize the importance of accurately completing each assignment within a designated time frame. This has helped many of my students increase self-confidence, thus becoming more self-reliant. Like all Kumon Instructors, I have a true passion for education and an earnest desire to help children succeed.

Biography and Background

Me

Hello,

My name is Yanny and I am the instructor/director at Kumon in Montreal-Rosemont. Before becoming a Kumon instructor, I worked as a primary school teacher for 10 years. Apart from teaching in the classroom, my interaction with children includes working as a camp counsellor, tutoring, and volunteering in non-profit organizations. I have a true passion for helping students succeed and I wish to instill a love of learning in all children.

I was a Kumon student for many years in the past. I vividly remember being so proud to be able to do mental calculations quickly and accurately. The Kumon program has helped me a lot when it was time to do fractions and algebra in math class. In fact, I still benefit from Kumon because of the strong foundation I acquired.

As a fully trained and certified instructor, my role is to work as a mentor for your child. I guide, support, and encourage your child throughout his/her Kumon journey. I am always present in the classroom to assist my little learners. I am proud to be a part of the community to help shape and impact children in building stronger confidence, better work ethics, and discovering their highest potential through self-learning.
