About the Instructor

Hello, my name is Latha Pattisapu and I am the owner at the Kumon Math and Reading Center of Spring Valley. As an extensively trained and certified professional Instructor, I serve as a mentor who guides your children through their work while also providing direction, support and encouragement. I create an at-home study plan in addition to monitoring classroom assignments, and I emphasize the importance of accurately completing each assignment within a designated time frame. This has helped many of my students increase self-confidence, thus becoming more self-reliant. Like all Kumon Instructors, I have a true passion for education and an earnest desire to help children succeed.

I have helped hundreds of children since 2010 gain confidence and develop a love of learning through the Kumon Method. My passion for education stems from my own experience as a mom, watching my children become confident, independent thinkers. After seeing my older son develop a love of learning in Kumon, I was inspired to bring the Kumon Method to children in the Norwood, NJ area. I opened the Kumon of Norwood center in 2010. In June of 2016 I added my second center, here in Spring Valley, NY.

My son completed the Reading Program while he was in sixth grade and the Math Program in eighth grade. I am a strong believer in the benefits of Kumon and the stamina, discipline and confidence that it builds in the students. I studied in India and hold a Master's degree in Math & Applied Sciences.
