My Journey as a Kumon Instructor: Nurturing Independent and Confident Learners
For the past seventeen years, I have had the privilege of guiding countless children on their educational journeys, witnessing their transformation as they develop confidence, independence, and a genuine love for learning. Through the Kumon Method, I have seen young minds flourish, mastering new concepts with enthusiasm and perseverance.
My passion for education is deeply personal, rooted in my role as a mother. Like any parent, I wanted my own children to not only excel academically but also think independently and trust in their abilities. Watching their remarkable progress with the Kumon Method sparked an unwavering desire in me to bring this powerful approach to more families in the community.
In 2008, driven by the belief that every child deserves access to quality education, I took a bold step and established the Kumon Math and Reading Center of Natomas. As the center grew, so did my commitment to expanding the reach of Kumon’s transformative learning approach. In 2013, I opened a second location, the Kumon Math and Reading Center of Folsom – Southeast, to support even more students on their path to academic success.
Before becoming a Kumon Instructor, I spent eight years in software development and corporate training, gaining valuable analytical and problem-solving skills that have shaped my approach as an educator. With an Engineering degree in Computers, I bring both a strong academic foundation and a unique perspective to my teaching.
Every day, I am inspired by the opportunity to empower children, helping them unlock their full potential and cultivate a lifelong love for learning. Watching my students grow—not just academically, but in confidence and resilience—continues to be the most rewarding aspect of my journey as an educator.
