About the Instructor

As an extensively trained and certified professional instructor, I serve as a mentor who guides your children through their work while also providing direction, support and encouragement. I create an at-home study plan in addition to monitoring classroom assignments, and I emphasize the importance of accurately completing each assignment within a designated time frame. This has helped many of my students increase self-confidence, thus becoming more self-reliant. Like all Kumon Instructors, I have a true passion for education and an earnest desire to help children succeed.

Biography and Background

Instructor - Ravinder Bhatt
instructor, Ravi Bhatt

Hi! Welcome to Kumon of Newark Ardenwood. My name is Ravinder Bhatt – the center director and instructor. I have over 25+ years of experience in the educational field and I hope to create a joyful learning experience for all my students.

I first started working with students after college, teaching high school math, chemistry, and physics. After teaching, I worked as a programmer and project manager/SAP consultant in materials management for over 10 years. I have always aspired to return to my roots to teach children, especially since my son was a Kumon Math and Reading program completer.

Through my son, I have seen the benefits of the Kumon program and how it can change a student’s life. As a Kumon parent for the last four years, I know what it’s like to be on the receiving end of the program. When families walk into my center, I want them to be impressed like I was in my own experience.

The founder of Kumon, Toru Kumon, once said, "Every child is a gifted child". It is what I believe in education, so my aim is to help as many kids as I can and nourish their mind and life skills.

With my educational background and personal belief in the importance of joyful learning, my aim for every student is to develop the skills necessary to become confident self-learners who are always willing to take on any challenge, academic or not. Being a Kumon Instructor has been one of the most fulfilling experiences in my life, and I am honored to work with every student to help realize their maximum potential. Thank you for visiting our center and I hope to see you soon!
