Olivia's Kumon Journey
Olivia joined Kumon in 2015, at the age of 7. She has done her homework 7 days a week since then (both math and reading), and while some of it was challenging along the way, Olivia always had the drive to overcome any challenges and to learn from her mistakes.
Olivia has completed the reading program at age 13, and has plans to finish the math program. Unsurprisingly, she has reached platinum (3 or more years ahead of school grade) for both subjects.
Olivia is now much more comfortable with Shakespeare, and is tackling Calculus level topics for math.
Olivia's photo shows her with her much deserved program completer plaque.
We couldn't be more proud of you, Olivia!
Shaswat's Kumon Journey
Shaswat joined Kumon just as COVID was starting to hit, in March 2020. Despite that, Shaswat has become platinum in math (3 years ahead of school grade) and silver in reading (1 year ahead of school grade).
He is in elementary school, but is working on algebra and linear equations. He will soon start simultaneous equations with 2-4 variables!
As a Kumon student, Shaswat often skips steps, as his mental calculation is heightened, and he is always eager to learn new things. Shaswat will be able to tackle high school level material in middle school, and is on track to reach level J math by 6th grade, which is a significant achievement!
Shaswat's photo shows the awards he received at our 2021 Student Award Event. He is wearing his platinum and silver medals, and holding his trophy for 1 year of continuous Kumon study, a ribbon for reaching Level G math, and of course, the snacks!
Thank you Shaswat, for all your hard work and dedication!
