About the Instructor

Introduction

As an extensively trained and certified professional instructor, I serve as a mentor who guides your children through their work while also providing direction, support and encouragement. I create an at-home study plan in addition to monitoring classroom assignments, and I emphasize the importance of accurately completing each assignment within a designated time frame. This has helped many of my students increase self-confidence, thus becoming more self-reliant. Like all Kumon Instructors, I have a true passion for education and an earnest desire to help children succeed.

Biography and Background

instructor

Jing Pan, PhD, Center Director and Instructor

After earning my PhD in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from University of California, Davis, I worked 16 years in the Research and Development areas of many large corporations, including: Government High Energy Physics Research Lab, Credit Swiss First Boston Bank, Merrill Lynch, AT&T Lab (formerly Bell Lab), and Dow Jones & Co. However, my passion has always been in education and working with children.

Upon seeing the effectiveness of the Kumon Program on my own children, I opened the Kumon Math and Reading Center of North Brunswick 2 on Route 1 in 2010. I am passionate about helping students reach their full academic potential; there is nothing more rewarding than watching students growing into confident and independent problem-solvers.

Our center is dedicated and passionate about helping our students thrive academically. From day one, we prepare an individualized curriculum with high school and college in mind. Through the effort of our dedicated staff, our students develop a solid foundation, strong content knowledge and the skills to excel in math and reading in every grade.
