About the Instructor

Hello!  My name is Daniela Stefanescu.  I have been the certified Instructor at the Kumon Math and Reading Centre of North York-Bedford Park since 2008, but I have been working at the centre since 2004. Through my experience, I strongly believe that every child that walks into our centre can develop their math and reading skills and achieve academic success whether they are in preschool, elementary, or high school.

As a former Kumon Parent, I witnessed the benefits of Kumon Math and Reading programs firsthand.

After more than 17 years of delivering the Kumon Method, I am still impressed by the beauty, logic and linearity of the program in both math and reading. I love watching my students become more confident in their math and reading skills. With their acquired self-learning skills, I am amazed at how Kumon Program develops in students the curiosity to learn things by themselves with less need to rely on tutors. I truly believe that the Kumon program will help my students succeed not only in school but more importantly in real life as well.

As an extensively trained and certified professional instructor, I serve as a mentor who guides your children through their work while also providing direction, support and encouragement. I create an at-home study plan in addition to monitoring classroom assignments, and I emphasize the importance of accurately completing each assignment within a designated time frame. This has helped many of my students increase self-confidence, thus becoming more self-reliant. Like all Kumon Instructors, I have a true passion for education and an earnest desire to help children succeed.
