I cannot begin to express the gratitude I have for Kasia and her staff of true professionals. I have one child who is an advanced learner and another who struggles. It is truly incredible how Kasia has helped them both in such different ways. One has gained confidence in her abilities and has far exceeded my expectations. What she has learned from Kumon has helped her take a deep breath and be a better student in the classroom. My other child was placed in advanced classes and I was nervous if he could keep up. Not only is he keeping up, he is now beyond his grade level and extremely confident in his learning abilities. Even my kids, who fought me at first, are so thankful and appreciative that my husband and I have given them this wonderful opportunity. Thank you Kasia and staff!

Josie's update...

Hi Kasia!
I just wanted to reach out to see how things are going! Life has been so crazy lately, but I was just thinking of you and all you have done for me. I hope kumon is doing well and I definitely miss coming and seeing you. I also wanted to update you on where I am. I am two years ahead in math, taking AP calculus as a sophomore and I am also taking AP Chemistry which is a new type of challenge from what I'm used to but I absolutely love it. This is all thanks to you and Kumon and I appreciate it so much. I hope to come and visit soon maybe! I hope you are well!

It has been an incredible 5 years for my son. He started when he was just in 2nd grade. Best decision and gift we could have given him. He has proceeded to go above and beyond and surpass 3 grade levels because of the instruction and individualized math plans that Kumon provides. A great caring and nurturing environment. Words From Jessica, our Former Student…

Jess2

An excerpt from a letter received from Jessica, our former student, Princeton University student, and a resident of Duxbury.

“…I had an amazing experience at Kumon when I was younger, and the benefits of the program continue to show through my success to this day. I am currently ranked first in my class at Thayer Academy with a 4.41 GPA and have been enrolled in all honors and AP courses throughout the extent of my high school career. I am also a writing tutor and on the mathletes and debate team, while maintaining a spot on the varsity crew team. In a recent awards ceremony, I won the Latin IV award, the US History Award, the Naomi R. and Saul B Cohen Science Award, and the Harvard Book Award for Academic Excellence. A large portion of this success, I contribute to the Kumon Program…”

I can't say enough about what Kumon of Norwell has done for both of my children. I have one daughter going into sixth grade and the other going into fourth grade, who both have attended Kumon since the first grade. One child I enrolled for enrichment purposes and the other for what I thought was gaps in her skills and not mastering her basic addition facts when kids around her were. What Kumon has brought to my girls is both enrichment, mastery of facts, complete fluency with the four basic operations with ease (including fractions and mixed numbers!!!) and so much more. Kumon has made them grow as independent thinkers and learners that are humble, hard-working, and who possess drive, perseverance and motivation and understand goal setting and what it feels like to work towards and achieve those goals at such a young age. My children understand what hard work brings about. Knowledge and confidence. Being confident in the classroom and in their learning is such a powerful gift Kumon has given them and they can easily access grade level and above grade level material presented to them. Many of their friends have since joined and it is a true testament to the magic of Kumon... For young children to encourage their friends to join, knowing full well that they are suggesting that their friends sign on to do additional work beyond the school day by choice, is amazing in and of itself. They know what it has done for them and are excited to show their friends the above grade level skills they are now working on! The Kumon center of Norwell and Kasia, the center owner and leader, have truly changed our lives!

Ilkay is super proud of his work!

Ilkay

"I first send my son here when he was 4 years old and he has been doing amazing since then, I'm so happy with his tremendous progress in Math! We learned this early on that Kumon is skill based and requires discipline and rigor not just from the student but from parents alike, once we got into a routine and understood the importance and relevance of the work given here it was awesome. I'm impressed by Kasia she is one of the best teachers my son has ever got, she is passionate and cares about the students and she listens and guides very well the students and parents alike. I love the waiting room library books they have at Norwell center!"

8/12/2024 Update on Ilkay's progress. Ilkay took E level achievement test today and passed it with 100% score, completed in 19 minutes, Group 1. Ilkay is on track to study G level, algebra, level before finishing second grade. Congratulations!!

One of our own... at Cambridge - U.K.

Hi Kasia,
Just wanted to thank you again for all you did for Graham (and I) years ago... Graham was just accepted to a graduate math/theoretical physics program at the University of Cambridge… And I believe you had a lot to do with his success... so I want to thank you again!
Joanne V.V. - Norwell

(Graham's achievements at Kumon have been nothing short of extraordinary. He was one of the few students at our center to reach algebra by 2nd grade, complete the entire Kumon Reading program—covering high school material—by 4th grade, and finish the entire Kumon Math Program through the O level (calculus) by 7th grade. What an amazing accomplishment! Graham’s journey is a testament to his academic gift, curiosity, dedication, and hard work. His ability to process complex concepts with ease and joy was truly remarkable to witness. It has been an honor to be a part of his educational journey.)

Reflecting on his Kumon journey, Gerard shared:

Gerard

The first thing Kumon taught me was discipline: the practice, repetition, and study of facts. Everything else I learned came right after; I learned to make inferences, to take risks, to challenge myself, and even to be wrong. My mind grew and grew and still grows because of what Kumon put in my life. My academic achievements come from my success in the Kumon program and all the resources it has given me. I may not finish the program, but I can truly say I went to Kumon and that it has changed my life.

I must also address the heart of my success. Kasia, the center is always brighter when you are around (metaphorically and academically). I feel guilty for not having gone to see the center again and how much it must have changed. However, I know that the students of Kumon in the Kingston and Norwell centers have the most brilliant director. You have supported me and lifted me up since the day I began the program as a young and small kindergartner. There are no words to describe how grateful I am to have been given the opportunities you have given me. It saddens me to no longer partake in the program, but the lessons I learned and the Kumon community will always stay close to me no matter where I go. Thank you for helping me to see how bright of a future I have before me and for guiding me down a path full of opportunity. I am entirely certain that you will continue to aid other students down this same path, whether directly or indirectly. May your teachings and love for education inspire great minds, just as you have inspired mine.

(Note: Gerard studied at our center for 9 years, completed the Reading Program, and finished the Math through the level M)

Siena - A Kumon student for 5 years, Kumon staff for 2 years +, now a college student...

Siena

"Over the summer some of the higher level students asked me if they were ever going to use what I was teaching them... Well, I would just like to let you/them know that I aced my calculus test because of all the practice with algebra I was getting in Kumon. So many college students don’t understand basic algebra. KUMON WORKS!!!"
(Siena on this photo is holding her Kumon pouch that she took to college with her as a memento and a pencil holder.)
