About the Instructor

Introduction

My name is Shireen Jamaluddin. I am the Instructor at Kumon of Peachtree City - North.

I am a trained and certified professional Instructor who is committed to helping children in the community reach their highest potential. I create an at-home study plan in addition to monitoring classroom assignments. I also emphasize the importance of accurately completing each assignment within a designated time frame to improve focus, pace and stamina.

Biography and Background

Shireen ePage

I have a Bachelor’s of Science in Elementary Education with an endorsement in Life Sciences. I studied at DePaul University in Chicago, IL where I am originally from. I currently hold multiple teaching licenses in Georgia and Illinois. Prior to becoming a Kumon Instructor, I have been a classroom teacher and taught all subjects in grades Pre-K-5.

My Kumon journey as an Instructor started in 2011, but the Kumon Program has been a part of my family for many years. I was inspired to become an Instructor after having my twin girls. I wanted to be able to spend time with my girls but was not ready to give up my passion of teaching and serving the community. I can truly say that my decision of becoming a Kumon Instructor has been very satisfying. The pleasure of seeing smiles on my students’ faces and the confidence they exude, as well as their parents’ joy from seeing their children succeed, make Kumon a truly rewarding experience for me.

Training and Certification

As a certified Kumon Instructor, I strive to help students gain skills and traits that go beyond the classroom, such as time management and self-confidence. Kumon is the program which can work for every student and family that is committed to the process. This program is the one program that truly moves at the student’s pace, allowing them to master one concept before moving onto the next.

Kumon’s systematic approach allows students to start at a comfortable place and move forward on their own schedule, all the while filling in any gaps that have developed along the way. Through daily practice and repetition, students master concepts, giving them the confidence to advance.
