Angelina

Angelina is currently in the fifth grade, and is enrolled in both math and reading at Kumon of Plantation South. In math, she is studying Algebra I in Level H. Soon she will be studying Algebra I/II in Level I. Angelina will be studying square roots, quadratic equations, inequalities, linear and quadratic functions and graphs, and the Pythagorean Theorem before she reaches middle school!
In reading, which is her favorite subject in school, Angelina is studying at a seventh grade level. She is reading impressions, identifying paragraphs elements and sentiment, and learning about the Summary Method by using diagrams. Angelina likes reading chapter books such as the Harry Potter collection and Jumanji.
One of the things that Angelina likes the most about Kumon is that she has gotten to learn many things that she has not yet been taught in school.
“In Kumon, I realized that reading was so much more,” says Angelina. “I know how much I’ve advanced and it gives me a lot of confidence because I worked so hard.”
Angelina is a bright ambitious student. Not only does she excel in academics, but she excels in extra-curricular activities as well. She has a high brown belt in Tae Kwon Do, she takes swimming lessons, she is learning Spanish, and she wants to study to be a veterinarian. Angelina loves all animals but if she could work on any animal, it would be elephants!
Angelina embodies everything that Toru Kumon had in mind when he founded the Kumon Method. He felt that students would experience the true benefits of the Kumon Method if they acquired the study habits necessary for self-learning and advanced study.
