About the Instructor

Introduction

As an extensively trained and certified professional instructor, I serve as a mentor who guides your children through their work while also providing direction, support and encouragement. I create an at-home study plan in addition to monitoring classroom assignments, and I emphasize the importance of accurately completing each assignment within a designated time frame. This has helped many of my students increase self-confidence, thus becoming more self-reliant. Like all Kumon Instructors, I have a true passion for education and an earnest desire to help children succeed.

Biography and Background

Teaching is a thousand acts of thoughtful instruction, guidance and encouragement that build upon each other to shape students and citizens of the world. -Melinda and Bill Gates Foundation

The statement above is one of my favorites and sums it all up for me. I have always had a passion for teaching! It is something that I enjoy in abundance and gives me a sense of fulfillment to see children succeed. I love watching children grow and mature as well assisting them when they falter and make mistakes as it is a part of learning. My passion for education stems from my own experience as a mom wanting her children to become confident, independent thinkers. After seeing my daughters develop a love of learning in Kumon, I was inspired to bring the Kumon Method to children in the Plymouth city in Michigan. Personally, as a parent I see the transformation in my children with their confidence and ability to learn, grasp new concepts and succeed. I hold a Master’s Degree in Marketing and Information Technology from Pune. My understanding of the Kumon ideologies makes me proud to be a part of Kumon. Our team at the Kumon Math and Reading Center of Plymouth will do its best to support, encourage and inspire children to succeed.
