About the Instructor

Introduction

As an extensively trained and certified professional instructor, I serve as a mentor who guides your children through their work while also providing direction, support and encouragement. I create an at-home study plan in addition to monitoring classroom assignments, and I emphasize the importance of accurately completing each assignment within a designated time frame. This has helped many of my students increase self-confidence, thus becoming more self-reliant. Like all Kumon Instructors, I have a true passion for education and an earnest desire to help children succeed.

Biography and Background

Ms. Angel

Welcome to Kumon of Potomac. My name is Angel Hao, and I am originally from Taiwan. We moved to Maryland in 2011 and have previously lived in Tampa, FL, and Fairfax, VA. I joined Kumon as a Learning Assistant in 2020. Before I joined Kumon, I worked at Taiwan Embassy in D.C. and as a manager at a travel agency in Taiwan for five years. I also taught Tour Leader and Guide Practice in college.

I became a Certified Math and Reading Instructor and took over the center in 2021. The past years have been rewarding and exciting times for me. I truly love my role as a mentor, providing guidance, support, and encouragement in each child’s academic journey to excellence.

I have a 12 y/o daughter, who is also enrolled at Kumon. Outside of Kumon, I enjoy traveling, museums, reading, and writing.

I firmly believe in the Kumon Method of Learning, where we focus on the whole child to develop a student who can master advanced concepts independently and succeed in school and life.

I am very proud to be able to offer this service in my community, and I look forward to working with you and your child(ren).
