I was originally introduced to the Kumon Program as a parent that was concerned with my daughter’s academic progress. After seeing her growth and success with the program, I became convinced that the Kumon Program was the best option for students in Northern Arizona, and I jumped at the opportunity to run the center in 2007.
My hope and mission today is the same as it was 10 years ago; to guide children to reach their fullest potential and build the skills that will provide them a successful future. I have experienced the joys of building mastery in math and reading as a parent and an instructor and I am passionate about providing that same joy to as many children as possible.
Having grown up in South Africa, I have experienced many different educational methods from many different academic perspectives. This experience has re-enforced my understanding of the strength of the Kumon Method in providing children with the opportunities necessary to build independence and mastery.
